Hendry has tipped Grealish to move to Arsenal.

Former Manchester City defender Colin Hendry believes that current City winger Jack Grealish, often perceived as an "outcast" under Pep Guardiola, could find a new lease on life and flourish at Arsenal.

Hendry, who played for the Sky Blues in the early 1990s, has publicly backed the English international to provide Mikel Arteta's side with much-needed creativity as a perfect backup to Bukayo Saka.

"Whoever gets him will be getting an unbelievable player," Hendry stated.

He continued, "I actually think he could be a good addition for a team like Arsenal because they’re in need of a bit more creativity."

Hendry suggests that Grealish has been unfairly treated at the Etihad Stadium and is in need of a fresh start to truly express himself on the pitch.

"He’s an excellent footballer. He’s been a scapegoat sometimes. He must pick the right club where he can express himself again," Hendry added, implying Arsenal could be an ideal destination for the 28-year-old.

However, the prospect of Grealish moving to North London faces a big hurdle: the intense Premier League rivalry between Manchester City and Arsenal.

Reports indicate that City are highly unlikely to sanction a sale to a direct competitor, especially one vying for the top spot.

Grealish's future at Manchester City remains uncertain, with other potential destinations including former club Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Everton.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported that the club is closing in on two new signings. Furthermore, with the potential departure of midfielder Bernardo Silva, Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga is being considered as a possible replacement.

Grealish's exit, if it materialises, would provide City with the opportunity to further strengthen their midfield and fine-tune their squad for the new season.
