Man United beaten by Wolves
Christian Eriksen's dipping free-kick was a highlight, but Jose Sa made a crucial save. Kobbie Mainoo's curling effort flew wide, setting the tone for a dull opening 45 minutes.
Ruben Amorim introduced Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount, and Diogo Dalot after the hour mark, hoping to boost the team's performance. However, it was Wolves who scored the decisive goal, with Sarabia curling a stunning free-kick past Andre Onana in the 77th minute. This marked Wolves' first shot on target in the match.
Mount had late opportunities to equalise, but Wolves held on for the win. The defeat marked Manchester United's 15th of the season, leaving them level on points with Wolves, who moved above the Red Devils to 15th in the league table.
What Amorim said
"If you don't score goals, you don't win games,” the former Sporting CP manager said, per the BBC. "We need to score goals. There was a time we didn't score, but we didn't create. We have a lot of chances to score, but we didn't score - that's the biggest problem for our team.
“This season is going to end like this so we need to take the positives and work on what we need to improve. They will have one chance. We have to look at everything, our squad, what we have to do in the market. We will see. We talk every day about next season and with time we will get what we need to improve the team."
