‘We cannot cry about it’ - Amorim
Amorim has openly acknowledged the team's deficiencies in dealing with set pieces.
In a candid statement, he stressed that while the tactics in the box can sometimes be chaotic, the team cannot "cry" about it.
Amorim emphasised that the rules of the game must be adhered to, and his focus is on making his side more effective at defending set pieces, no matter their players’ size.
"You can see that every corner nowadays is an opportunity. Sometimes you forget the small guys and the talented guys, but we have to do the same thing and focus on doing the same thing to the opponent, " he said.
Amorim’s future at United under scrutiny
There was initial optimism when Amorim took over as United’s manager after the sacking of Erik ten Hag.
However, less than six weeks into his tenure, the 39-year-old has already hinted at the possibility of being dismissed.
Another loss, particularly one involving more set-piece concessions, would only increase pressure on Amorim and raise further questions about his methods and the team's performance.
