AS Monaco enquired in recent hours about Ter Stegen, but the goalkeeper rejected the approach.
Barcelona currently has a surplus of goalkeepers and is actively looking to move both Marc-André ter Stegen and Iñaki Peña.
However, the German international remains adamant that he does not want to leave the club this summer.
The Catalan club's management understands the goalkeeper's stance but isn't ruling anything out this early in the transfer window.

Ter Stegen rejects move
According to French publication L'Équipe, via Sportal, Monaco, who recently secured Ansu Fati on loan with an option to buy from Barcelona, has now turned their attention to Ter Stegen to bolster their goalkeeping ranks.
The Ligue 1 side, who finished third last season and will compete in the Champions League in 2025-26, believe the German international's experience could be invaluable.
Contact was made between Monaco and Ter Stegen, but the goalkeeper reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona, where he is under contract until June 2028.

The Barcelona captain intends to fight for the starting spot, although this appears to be a challenging prospect with Wojciech Szczęsny having extended his contract and new signing Joan Garcia also in the mix.
Barcelona's management hopes Ter Stegen will reconsider his decision. If he wants to play in next summer's World Cup, regular playing time this season will be crucial.
The club is confident that there will be no shortage of offers, both sporting and financial. They believe his departure wouldn't have serious on-field consequences, as Szczęsny and Garcia provide ample cover in goal, and would also free up significant space on the wage bill.
