Super Eagles forward Anayo Iwuala has named the greatest striker of all time in Nigeria’s football history.
The Nigerian national team has produced a lot of talented strikers in the past, with the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Julius Aghahowa, Odion Ighalo, Yakubu Ayegbeni, Victor Osimhen and many more.
These players have set a huge standard for the national team, having their names in the highest goalscorer ranking of the Super Eagles.
However, despite their exploits, neither of them was picked by Iwuala as the greatest Nigerian striker.

Iwuala picks greatest Nigerian striker
Iwuala has hailed Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu and named him as the greatest Nigerian striker.
)
He was asked to identify the top five Nigerian strikers of all time in an interview with EaglesTracker.
After making a list of his choices without thinking, Iwuala made the order such that Kanu was at the top, ahead of Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Obafemi Martins, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and 1994 Africa Cup of Nations hero Rashidi Yekini.
Kanu was successful at all of the clubs he played for, including Portsmouth, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and Ajax.
Among his many accolades are three Eredivisie titles, three FA Cups, two African Player of the Year honours, a UEFA Champions League title, a UEFA Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, and more.
)
However, many football fans believe Rashidi Yekini to be Nigeria's best striker, even with Kanu's achievements.
)
With 37 goals for his country, including two World Cups, Yekini, who died in May 2012, is still Nigeria's all-time top scorer.
)
He was the first Nigerian to win African Footballer of the Year and memorably scored Nigeria's first World Cup goal in 1994.
Yekini was the top scorer and best player of the 1994 tournament, when Nigeria won their second championship, and he also holds the record for most goals scored by Nigeria in AFCON history with 13.
