Los Nervionenses released a statement via their official channels that Akor, along with former Arsenal midfielder Albert Lokonga, have suffered thigh injuries.
“Sevilla FC's medical services have reported that both Sambi Lokonga and Akor Adams, who were injured in Thursday's training session at the training ground, are suffering from a pain in their right thigh.”
“In the case of the Belgian midfielder, it is a myotendinous injury in the hamstrings, while the Nigerian attacker suffers from a myotendinous injury in the rectus femoris.”
According to Diario de Sevilla, Lokonga is expected to be out for up to four weeks. Adams, however, has it worse and could be out for six weeks to two months.
Other than the match against Barcelona, he is also ruled out for games against Real Valladolid, Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad and Athletic Club.
