Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has reportedly left out four players from the Blues squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
Chelsea have reportedly excluded four players—Djordje Petrovic, Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix, and Axel Disasi—from their FIFA Club World Cup squad, set to begin this weekend in the USA.
These players, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan, will miss out on the tournament, with the Blues keen to maintain continuity from last season.

Manchester City sign one of Chelsea's nine first-team goalkeepers
The Cityzens have done Chelsea a favour by pruning the number of first-team goalkeepers currently at the club down to eight
Manager Enzo Maresca has made bold selections, opting to include Andrey Santos, who was on loan at Strasbourg last season, in the squad.
According to The Telegraph, new signings Liam Delap, Dario Essugo, and Mamadou Sarr will also join Santos in the lineup.
The first part of the summer transfer window closed at 7pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, but reopens on Monday, June 16. Any further signings completed in the coming weeks can be registered for the tournament’s later stages starting June 27.
Petrovic’s omission is perhaps the most surprising given the fact the Blues missed out on landing AC Milan keeper Mike Maignan in time for the start of the tournament.

Meanwhile, ex-Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is expected to depart the club after an underwhelming loan spell at Arsenal. The Blues are also interested in strengthening their attack and have had two bids for Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Bynoe-Gittens rejected.
Maresca remains in the market for a new winger after the club returned Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
