Ronaldo named the three best players in history in a recent interview.
Brazilian football icon Delima Ronaldo made a list of his three best footballers of all time, and it excludes his namesake Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Galactico has never shied away from claiming he was a superior footballer to the Portuguese. In a recent interview, he laid claim to being better than Cristiano while conceding he was inferior to Messi.
El Fenomeno did not include his name in the list of the three greatest footballers of all time, and as such, there was no space for Al Nassr’s potent scorer.

Ronaldo's esteemed list
Asked to name the three best players of all time, the former Inter Milan striker pondered a bit, acknowledging he had been presented with a loaded question. However, he soon named his country's icon, Pele, as the undisputed number one. For the remaining two slots, he reserved for the diminutive Argentines Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona.
“Pele, number one for sure,” Ronaldo said, per ESPN. “[Then] Messi and Maradona tied together.
“Zico, Romario, Cristiano Ronaldo—there are a lot of players. Zidane, Figo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho Gaucho—there's a lot of great players to list, but definitively, the first three players [Pele, Messi and Maradona] are top.”
While he omitted his name, Delima is also regarded as one of the great players he mentioned. For many, he is the greatest centre-forward the game has witnessed and would have been in the GOAT conversation with the likes of the top three he mentioned, had he not suffered an injury-laden career.
