Haaland has reached the 250-goal mark in just 313 matches.

Erling Haaland has recorded his name further in football history despite Manchester City's humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal.

The Norwegian striker scored his 250th club goal spectacularly, heading home from a Savinho cross to level the scores at 1-1. However, the goal proved a mere consolation as Arsenal ran riot.

Haaland has scored 250 goals in just 313 matches, surpassing the records of some of the greatest goal-scorers in modern football, including Robert Lewandowski (451 games), Cristiano Ronaldo (451 games), and Harry Kane (430 games). Only Kylian Mbappe, with 332 games, reached the milestone quicker.

Lionel Messi, another legendary goalscorer, required 327 games to achieve the same feat.

Martin Odegaard gave Arsenal an early lead, and while Gabriel Martinelli had a goal ruled out, Thomas Partey quickly restored the Gunners' advantage with a deflected strike.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, who had his red card against Wolves rescinded, then scored his first Premier League goal, celebrating by mimicking Haaland's iconic yoga pose.

The young midfielder also became the youngest player to score in the Premier League against the reigning champions since Wayne Rooney netted for Everton against Arsenal in March 2003.

Kai Havertz added a fourth goal for Arsenal before Ethan Nwaneri completed the rout.

The defeat leaves City a daunting 15 points behind league leaders Liverpool, with a game more played.
