Rashford's comment has added more drama to Bellingham-Yamal social media ‘feud’

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has appeared to throw his support behind Barcelona's teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, adding an intriguing layer to the burgeoning rivalry between the young Spaniard and England star Jude Bellingham.

This comes after Yamal appeared to take a subtle jab at Bellingham following Barcelona's exhilarating 4-3 El Clasico victory over Real Madrid.

The Catalan club's dramatic win on home soil saw Yamal continue his stellar season, netting his 16th goal of the campaign in a thrilling seven-goal encounter that also saw a Kylian Mbappe hat-trick for Los Blancos.

However, it was Yamal's post-match activity on social media that ignited the latest talking point.

Including the phrase "like this one too" in his online message, many interpreted Yamal's words as a pointed reference to Bellingham and former Real Madrid icon Sergio Ramos.

Both players had reportedly liked a post from Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni celebrating Barcelona's Champions League semi-final defeat.

Amidst this backdrop of club rivalry spilling onto the digital sphere, Rashford, Bellingham's England teammate, weighed in on Yamal's performance and online activity.

Seemingly unaware of the perceived dig aimed at his international colleague, Rashford lauded the 17-year-old winger, commenting "Young King" on Yamal's post.

Rashford's seemingly innocuous praise has now been viewed by some as inadvertently taking sides in the developing social media feud between two of football's brightest young talents.
