Setting the scene
Aina is one of the few footballers that show their personality off the pitch as they do on it. The Nigerian is famed for his live post-match Snapchat videos, in which he interacts with fans, answers questions, and sometimes features teammates.
With their match against Manchester City coming up, a screenshot containing an alleged exchange between Aina and a fan was making the rounds on social media.
The fan in the screenshot said, “Man ain't ready for Doku on Saturday,” and it showed a response supposedly from Aina saying, “I’m under 30 G.” The context to the alleged response is that there is a running gag on social media about Doku struggling against younger defenders that can match his pace and energy.

Aina clears the air
Aina and Nottingham Forest beat Manchester City earlier in the day. Doku had a lively outing but could not get the better of Aina, who kept him well guarded.
This led fans to reference the aforementioned screenshot during and after the game; however, Aina quickly came out to debunk it, stating that the response did not originate from him, as he has utmost respect for his colleagues.
“Need to clarify, this photo is a fake!! I did not post this,” Aina said. “I respect every player I come up against. Please, if people want to quote me, then quote me right. Anyways, off to get waved, enjoy your weekend, people.”
Even in his response, Aina maintained humour, a trait that has endeared him to fans. According to the defender, the playfulness is also a contributing factor in their incredible season so far, as it helps foster team chemistry
