‘Pray you don't have to come back’ - Amorim sends big warning to Garnacho after outburst

The relationship between Ruben Amorim and Alejandro Garnacho hangs by a thread.

Alejandro Garnacho will not be a Manchester United player next season following his public criticism of manager Ruben Amorim's decision to bench him for the UEFA Europa League final against Tottenham.

Garnacho eventually entered the match as a substitute in the 71st minute.

Following the incident, the 20-year-old Argentinian wasn't even included in the squad for the final Premier League match against Aston Villa.

What Amorim said

According to the Daily Mail, Amorim has made up his mind and won't be changing it, having reportedly confronted the player during a team talk at Carrington training ground last Saturday.

Amorim allegedly told Garnacho, "Pray you find a club that will take you so you don't have to come back for preseason.”

He added, He reportedly added that if Garnacho was forced to return, he would make his "life difficult."

The Daily Mail also reports that Amorim participated in a season review and pre-planning meeting last Friday, where the Portuguese manager apparently demanded Garnacho's immediate departure from the club.

The Red Devils value the player at €70 million, with both Chelsea and Napoli expressing interest in acquiring him.
