Paul Pogba promised to convince Antoine Griezmann to come out of retirement when he returns to the national team.

Paul Pogba has expressed his desire to return to French national team contention; he does not plan on returning alone, stating he will pull Antoine Griezmann out of retirement.

Pogba is currently a free agent, but he eyes a glorious return to football when his 18-month ban for elevated levels of a banned substance in his bloodstream ends in May.

The former Manchester United star has been approached by teams from Saudi Arabia and the MLS; however, he is holding out for European clubs, as he wants to improve his chances of returning to Les Bleues.

Pogba last played for the French national team in 2022. He missed out on the Qatar World Cup squad, as he suffered a heartbreaking injury before the tournament.

Injuries and his unfortunate ban have kept him out of the national team since. With the 31-year-old's return imminent, he now looks forward to representing Les Bleus again.

Pogba also said that he will make an effort to convince Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann, who announced his international retirement last year.

"I also miss the French team,” Pogba told Twitch streamer AmineMaTue. “I miss playing. If I come back, I tell him: 'Come back'. If I come back to the selection, I give him a call. Straight away."
