The Saudi giants will no longer pursue a deal for Victor Osimhen citing him as too expensive
According to reports, Al Hilal have officially withdrawn from the race to sign Victor Osimhen after hitting a financial wall in their pursuit of the Nigerian striker.
The Saudi club has now redirected its focus to Liverpool’s Darwin Nuñez, citing Osimhen’s high cost as the deal-breaker.
Wage demands and Napoli’s stance prove too much for Al Hilal
Al Hilal’s ambitious bid to bring Victor Osimhen to Saudi Arabia has stalled completely according to a report from FootMercato.

Despite offering an eye-watering salary offer of €35 million per year, the Saudi Pro League giants still found themselves short of convincing the Nigeriani forward.
Osimhen’s wage expectations, coupled with Napoli’s rigid asking price, ultimately turned the deal sour. The Italian club rejected Al Hilal’s opening offer of €65 million plus €5 million in add-ons, insisting that only a full payment of his €75 million release clause would suffice.

And given Osimhen’s blistering loan spell at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals in 41 games, the Serie A side know exactly how much leverage they hold.
Attention turns to Darwin Nuñez as Osimhen chase ends
For Al Hilal, the numbers simply stopped making sense. The Nigerian’s total package would have made him one of the most expensive players in football history, a title the Saudi outfit were not prepared to justify any further.

With the Osimhen pursuit officially shelved, Al Hilal are now shifting gears toward Liverpool star Darwin Nuñez.
The Uruguayan striker has had a turbulent spell in England and is reportedly available for transfer to help fund the Reds’ moves for other targets.
