He's back: Victor Boniface returns with a bang to fire Leverkusen past Orban's Hoffenheim
Victor Boniface celebrated his first goal of the year on his first start for Bayer Leverkusen since December last year.
“I will go 50-50 for that. We’re in a very shaky situation,” he admitted, acknowledging the challenge facing the Super Eagles in their bid to secure qualification.
Chelle’s primary task is to guide Nigeria to qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Super Eagles are currently in a difficult position, sitting fifth in Group C, four points behind leaders Rwanda, South Africa, and Benin, and just two points ahead of Lesotho.
With the road to qualification already looking challenging, Chelle’s ability to lead the team through the rest of the campaign will be closely scrutinised.
