A football analyst commented on Victor Osimhen's ambition in relation to another player.

Emre Bol, a Turkish football media contributor, recently praised Victor Osimhen's ambition, stressing that the Nigerian would have jumped at the offer from Saudi Arabia had financial rewards driven him.

The 26-year-old has taken Turkish football by storm this season, turning what was an unlikely transfer into one of the most impactful moves in Super Lig history.

Osimhen rejected money to play for Galatasaray

The 26-year-old had offers on the table from Chelsea and Saudi Arabia up until the deadline moments of the transfer window last summer.

While he deemed Chelsea's offer as financially insufficient, according to reports, he also refused the Saudi bid, as he still has ambitions to conquer European football. And with his relationship with the Napoli hierarchy fractured beyond repair, he joined the Cim-Bom on loan before resolving his future next summer.

What Bol said

After the report from the Athletic, stating that Premier League clubs have pulled out of signing Osimhen due to his wage demands, many fans of the league took to social media accusing the former Lille man of greed.

However, Bol’s comments provide an interesting counterpoint, as he explained that a “greedy” Osimhen would have accepted the Saudi cheque, as Fenerbahce's own talisman—Anderson Talisca, formerly of Al Nassr, did.

"If he wants love, he stays here, if he wants money, he goes to Arabia, if he wants a career, he goes to Europe. I asked him in Kemerburgaz and did some research. He works harder than anyone else. He leaves his mark in Lille, Napoli and now Galatasaray.

"He does business everywhere. He stayed here for 5 weeks. Galatasaray can arrange as much money as they want, if he thought about money, he would play in Arabia. Talisca thinks about money, he wouldn't have come to Fenerbahçe 5 years ago, he will now, but Osimhen doesn't. They are a tribe in Africa. He looks after the whole village."
