Liverpool plans to honour Diogo Jota's contract by paying his family for the remaining two years.
Shortly after midnight on Thursday, Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, were in Zamora, Spain, driving towards Santander to catch a ferry to England.
Tragically, they never reached their destination. Around 12:35 a.m. local time, a blown tire caused their car to crash and burst into flames. Both Diogo and Andre, a player in the Portuguese second division, lost their lives.
