Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski reacted to their defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski was critical of their Champions League defeat against Borussia Dortmund, honestly admitting that they did not play well, although they eventually qualified.

The Blaugrana suffered a 3-1 loss on the night, but a 4-0 win in the first leg proved sufficient cushion, as they scaled through despite a shambolic showing at the Signal Iduna Park.

What Lewandowski said

After the match, the former Yellow and Black striker said that they created difficulty for themselves by allowing the 2013 finalists a way back into the contest.

"It was a crazy match. Looking at both legs, we're in the semi-finals because we deserve it, but we created tension and anxiety for us,” Lewandowski said.

"We made it easy for Dortmund to get chances and score. Maybe this is the wake-up call we needed. We have to learn from this.”

Driving home the point that the game was a learning experience, the Polish striker suggested that maybe it was important for them as they lost the match, implying they it was the only losable game they had left this season without jeopardising their treble ambitions.

“If we had to lose and make mistakes, it's better that we did them in this stage. Later on, there's no room for such mistakes.”

Barcelona return to LALIGA action this weekend, where they play Celta Vigo. They are the current league leaders, four points clear of Real Madrid in second place. Flick's side must regroup immediately before the game at Montjuic, as they continue their match towards a 28th
