Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the marvels of sports science. He has managed to maintain peak physical condition and a competent performance level way past his 30th birthday.
He turned 40 in February and is still claiming Golden Boot titles. He led the Saudi Pro League in goals last season, and he is on course to claim the top scorer award this season as well.

The Barcelona star has been compared with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and the Manchester United star has had his say
What Castro said
Ronaldo could become the first footballer of all time to score 1000 official goals, and with 934 scored so far and on his current average, he would need about two seasons to reach that milestone.
While he has said reaching a millennium of goals is not his goal, he also said he still sees himself playing for more seasons. The physical conditioning to do that in one's 40s is a rare occurrence in the sport and his former coach, Luis Castro, in an interview with Sky Sports, attributed it to a special training regimen.

“Cristiano has deeply ingrained routines, a strong training culture, and immense respect for the game,” he said, per Bein Sport. “But the real secret lies in what he does before and after training—what we call ‘invisible training.’
“His diet, rest, and recovery are all geared toward optimal performance. He’s extremely disciplined with his nutrition, sleep, and body preparation. In my view, that’s the key to his longevity.”
