"A defeat like this is always tough. It was an end-to-end game, and both teams performed well. We made it very difficult for PSG. In the end, however, they had some excellent chances," Muller said after the match, adding that he felt the result was unfair.
"Personally, I always felt we were close [to equalizing], but we just couldn't quite get there. The final stages of the game were hectic, especially with the red cards, which made things a bit unfair.

"As I've said many times, you can't buy anything with just a good performance," he said, via Abola, explaining the final play of the game where he won a penalty against Nuno Mendes, only for it to be overturned by VAR.
"Well, I wasn't hit in the face, but there was contact. It could or should have been an indirect free kick in those circumstances. But even the penalty probably wouldn't have changed anything, because we didn't have enough time left," he added, noting that they needed two goals to force extra time and lamenting Musiala's serious injury.

"I didn't know exactly what the injury was, but things like that are always very difficult. We [the teammates] tried to focus on the game, but the images stayed in our heads.
"At the end of the day, we players aren't robots; we have personal relationships with each other. I wish him a speedy recovery; it's extremely tough for him, as he just came back from another injury," he said, hinting that he is unsure about his next move.
"Normally, I would have to process today's defeat, and that's what I'll do. The usual procedure would be to go back to the team hotel and focus on the next challenge, but I'm going back to pack my bags and leave. I'll need time to process everything! It's a very strange feeling, to be honest," he concluded.
