What Lehmann said
Lehmann's football journey took a significant turn at age 11 when Young Boys scouts recognised her talent, marking the official start of her career.

According to the Sun, she said, "When I was six or seven, I joined a club. As a child, I was very fast, faster than the boys. I started in my village and always wanted to play.
"The moment everything changed was when I joined Young Boys: I was 11 or 12 years old. At that time, we trained with the boys in the mornings and played with the girls on weekends…
"I had fun, but I didn't think I could become a real footballer. Women's football wasn't like it is today, and I believed that in Switzerland I would earn more with a normal job than as a footballer.

"I never thought I would make it; I lived my life. I'm a girl, I'm feminine, and I like nails. I'm not a full-back, I don't have to take throw-ins.
"People talk about these things too much; they don't influence what happens on the pitch in any way. I'm always criticised for these things. I don't care what they write."
