Frank Onyeka has expressed his disappointment over not being selected for Nigeria's 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
Augsburg's Onyeka has been in good form this season after joining the club on loan from Brentford last summer.
The 27-year-old has been instrumental for Augsburg, contributing two assists in 28 appearances and helping them achieve 11th place in the Bundesliga.
Despite Onyeka's impressive performances this season, he was excluded from Nigeria's final squad for the March games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Nigeria vs Zimbabwe: Expert calls out ‘overthinking’ Super Eagles coach Chelle after World Cup disaster
A Nigerian football expert is not happy with some of the decisions made by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle before and during the disastrous outing against Zimbabwe in the 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Onyeka speaks about call up snub
During a recent interview, Onyeka shared his disappointment about not being able to participate in the games.

“I was quite sad about it, but the coach knows best, he knows what players he wants to use,” Onyeka told Oma Akatugba.
“But hopefully in the next couple of games I’ll be available. I’m always available, so hopefully I’ll be with the team.”
Nigeria's loss to Zimbabwe has left them 6 points behind South Africa, who currently lead Group C of the World Cup Qualifiers. Nigeria now sits in fourth place in the group.
However, Onyeka remains hopeful, believing that the Super Eagles can win their remaining games and secure a spot.
“We are in a difficult situation, but there’s still chance for us, we just need to win our next four games and hopefully we’ll qualify,” ‘Onyeka added.
Nigeria's chances of making it to the World Cup look slim, and they might miss their second consecutive tournament.
