On social media, the Ivory Coast international defended himself, claiming the fans had insulted his mother.
"I have respect for people, but not for those who insult my mother... I shouldn't have reacted that way, but I don't regret what I did. We had a good time in Malaysia with good people," he commented.
Manchester United lost 1-0 to the ASEAN All Stars on Wednesday at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
The team, which includes Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes, concludes its tour on May 30th in Hong Kong.
