“This is a reward for hard work, patience and perseverance. We’ve been working over the years to attain this, and I’m glad it came at the right time,” he stated during a radio interview with Eagle 7 Sports Radio.

The coach dismissed any notion of psychological pressure impacting his team during the fiercely contested title race, highlighting his calm and focused demeanour throughout the campaign.
“I was never under any pressure. The only pressure I feel is the personal desire to keep improving myself every day. That’s what drives me, not fear of failure,” he affirmed.
Ogunmodede was quick to credit the strong collaborative spirit within the club for its success, emphasising the important roles played by everyone involved.

Remo Stars won their first ever NPFL title on Sunday after defeating Niger Tornadoes.
Turning his attention to the prospect of continental competition, Ogunmodede remained grounded, refusing to be drawn into premature discussions about Remo Stars' chances in the CAF tournaments.
“I don’t want to talk about the continent now. We still have three matches to complete in the league, and that’s my focus for now,” he said.
When questioned about potential fellow continental representatives from the NPFL, Ogunmodede maintained his focus on his team.

“I only focus on my team. But from the table, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, Katsina United and Enyimba are all in the mix. I haven’t really analysed the possibilities yet,” he admitted.
Ogunmodede also expressed his surprise and gratitude towards Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his generous donation of N10 million to the Remo Stars squad and staff as a token of appreciation for their hard work.
