During the January transfer window, Awoniyi was close to making a move away from Nottingham Forest after seeing his playing time limited.
The striker was linked with a move to West Ham, but the move did not materialise, and he remained at the club.
Following his failed move, the Super Eagles star was seen having a night out with his countryman Aina.

In a video shared by Pooja on X, the Super Eagles stars were seen having a fun time together.

Both players went out for a dinner party and were sitting at a table alongside some other teammates and friends.
He said in the video, “You guys look at my guy Taiwo, he's drinking female drink, Taiwo, Taiwo’s drinking female drink. Raise it up, raise it up.”
Awoniyi raised the drink as instructed by Aina and was seen laughing at his teammate's statement.
Meanwhile, the striker will be looking to get back into the Forest team after getting his place snatched by Chris Woods.
