Tottenham and England midfielder James Maddison has made a surprise pick for the Ballon d'Or.
England have failed to produce a Ballon d'Or winner since Michael Owen took home the award in 2001.
The country has produced top players like Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and more but the prestigious award has eluded the nation's finest talents.

The CBS Sports pundits believe a clear favourite has emerged in the Ballon d'Or race.
However, according to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison, that could change soon.
Maddison believes Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham could win the Ballon d'Or.
)
When asked whether he believes any of his England teammates could one day lift the Ballon d'Or, the 28-year-old responded:
"Mr Bellingham. Jude. Yeah, I think he's got what it takes to have one of those golden balls at home."
The likes of Harry Kane, Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka will also be in the mix but it is clear Bellingham has the biggest chance of claiming the award for England, for the first time in 25 years.
