Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has sent a congratulatory message to Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou after leading Spurs to their first European trophy.
The North London side qualified for the finals after defeating Bodo Glimt in the semi final to book a place in the final against Man United.
Tottenham went on to defeat Manchester United 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League final in Spain.
Luke Shaw’s own goal in the first half did the job for Tottenham, who joined other London teams in the list of European winners.

Salah’s word to Postecoglou
Salah has sent a message to Postecoglou, congratulating him for staying through to his word.

The winger tweeted on his official X account, “He did say he’d win in his second season. Congratulations!”
The Liverpool star recalled the Tottenham manager's words, saying he has done what he claimed he always did in his second season.

Postecoglou had previously mentioned in his press conference before the final that he always wins a trophy in his second season.
He made his promise come through after leading Spurs to their first European trophy and their first trophy since 2008.
Despite Spurs' poor campaign that saw them end the season in 17th position in the Premier table, they finished the season with a trophy.
