Southampton coach Ivan Juric has revealed that Joe Aribo can play a different position on the field.
The Super Eagles star has played as a makeshift center-back for Southampton this season following a series of injuries to their backline.
During Southampton's 2-1 victory against Ipswich Town last week, Juric employed Aribo as a temporary center back.
The Nigerian international scored the team's first goal in the twenty-first minute of play after starting the match as a centre midfielder before being moved to centerback after injuries to Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jack Stephens.

Juric speaks on Aribo’s position
Juric stated that he might still start Aribo as a centre-defender, but his instinct as a midfielder might work against him.
)
According to Daily Echo, he said, “You need players that can play against fast players, and it’s much more important to be fast than maybe it is to be tall.
“It’s like a different concept of football and maybe (James) Bree is doing well as a right-centre-back because he has these characteristics for the position.
)
“And Aribo, normally if I use him always there, he will go down, because mentally he’s a midfielder and he wants to attack. But sometimes, he’s a great guy, he can do it.”
Meanwhile, Aribo’s chances of making the Super Eagles starting lineup could be slim and the fact that he can play a different position than in midfield could be a boost for him to get playing time with the team.
