Against Everton, Iliman Ndiaye canceled out Bernardo Silva's early strike, and Erling Haaland's penalty was saved by Jordan Pickford.
Following the match, Guardiola acknowledged the need for reinforcements.
"If we can, we have to add players in January, definitely," he said. "I think even the players asked ourselves … we are going to add some players?! Please!"
"The winter (window) is not easy. We have to add some players but we have to bring players for the next three, four, five years – and that is not easy."
With City now seventh in the standings, their next match against Leicester is crucial.
Guardiola must find a solution to the team's defensive and midfield crisis in the January window to salvage the season.
