Galatasaray manager reveals plan to help Osimhen score more goals

Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has disclosed his strategies for assisting Victor Osimhen in increasing his goal tally.

The Super Eagles star has made a tremendous impact at Galatasaray following his loan move in the summer transfer.

The 26-year-old is presently tied for third place on the Turkish Super Lig goalscoring list after scoring 11 league goals this season.

Despite having an outstanding goal-scoring record for Galatasaray, including scoring against Dynamo Kyiv in their 3-3 draw yesterday, Osimhen has squandered several opportunities this season

Buruk’s advice on Osimhen

Buruk acknowledged his worries regarding the former LOSC Lille striker's performances and stated that he and his team will assist Osimhen in improving his runs.

According to Haber Sarikir Mizi, he said, “He is a top-tier forward, for the world, Europe, and our league. Strikers sometimes move actively to gain ground in certain situations.

“I think the important thing is being in the right position. We conduct video analysis for all matches. For years, we’ve used Burak Yılmaz as an example—one of the best forwards in Turkish football.

“Burak also used to move between defenders, sometimes getting caught offside, but if he wasn’t, he scored. Osimhen is the same.

“He moves among defenders, sometimes misleading them. He’s a top-level striker. Instead of focusing on how not to get caught offside, we show how he can improve through video analysis.”

Osimhen has had 20 offside calls in the league this season, and six of his goals have been disallowed for putting the ball in the net from an offside position.

The striker will be looking to improve his timing during games to avoid being caught in an offside position.
