From Nigeria to Spain: 21-year-old striker joins black and white side Valencia

Ezekiel Motunrayo becomes the latest Nigerian star to switch to the Spanish Liga-F after her move to Valencia.

Spanish club side Valencia CF have officially signed 21-year-old Nigerian striker Ezekiel Motunrayo, signalling a significant addition to their Women’s squad as they aim to strengthen their attack. 

The agreement will see Motunrayo wear the black and white jersey until the summer of 2026 as the club said in a statement.

Motunrayo, who was born on May 30, 2003, in Nigeria, is known for her versatility on the field as she is capable of playing both as a right winger and a centre forward. 

Her speed and ability to find the back of the net are expected to be valuable assets for the team. 

Valencia have unveiled Ezekiel Motunrayo as a new player.

Before joining Valencia, she played for Rivers Angels during the 2023-2024 season in the Nigeria Women's Football League and had previously been with Lakeside Queens since 2017.

This signing is part of Valencia's strategy to bolster their squad during the January transfer window, with Motunrayo being one of the notable Nigerian talents making the move to Spain's Liga F.

The club hopes that the Nigerian’s skills will help improve their performance in the league as they navigate a challenging season.

Valencia currently sit bottom of the league with seven points from 17 matches after just one win and 12 defeats.
