Nile Special has collected shs450 million to aid Uganda Cranes World Cup 2026 campaign

Nile Special has revealed that they collected shs 450 million from the just-concluded “The Cranes Kabbo” campaign.

According to their brand manager, Joel Galla, the company collected the sum from the promotion that ran from November 18th last year.

The Cranes Kabbo was a promotional campaign that was aimed at collecting funds to facilitate the Cranes' dream of reaching the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“The Kabbo, which is, in my own interpretation, something that is still small, has generated quite a sum of UGX 450M; then I think Nile Special is indeed special ,” FUFA CEO Edgar Watson said during the function held in Kampala on Wednesday.

That implies that Nile Special sold a total of nine million bottles to collect the amount.

“The funds raised reflect the nation's collective spirit and highlight Ugandans' pride in their national team. We are confident that the funds collected will significantly advance Ugandan football and the Cranes in particular,” Galla, the company’s brand manager, promised.

The 2026 World Cup will be held jointly by the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
