Not first, or even second choice — Insider rules out Lookman to Arsenal transfer
Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has been labelled as not good enough for Arsenal
What he said
Speaking to AfricaFoot, the former Fenerbahce star who won the AFCON in 1994 was asked about the reports linking Lookman to Juventus and Napoli.
He said that the CAF POTY would shine at either club, highlighting the qualifies that help the Nigerian ace standout.
“I don't want to be definitive, because for now, we only have information from the media and tabloids,” Okechukwu started. “But if he where to join Napoli or Juventus, I'm convinced he would still shine thanks to the nature of football there. He's a top-level striker, and it's no coincidence that he's been linked with the best teams in Europe.
“Napoli and Juventus are perfect projects for Lookman, as he has been in Italy for quite some time. They are two of the biggest Italian teams with huge ambitions, both domestically and in Europe. He is a team player, strong, fast, and a goalscorer within himself. So I don't see why he wouldn't make a good impression at either team.”

Lookman linked to Atalanta’s rivals
The former Fulham forward pushed for a move last summer, after propelling La Dea to their first-ever European trophy. PSG were keen on signing him, but Atalanta’s demands discouraged the Parisians.
Lookman settled back into the side and was integral to Atalanta's title charge this campaign before they petered off when the Nigerian got injured.
He returned from injury amid a Champions League knockout tie against Club Brugge, in which Atalanta were struggling. He pulled one back with his team four goals down on aggregate but missed a penalty when the momentum was on their side.
An angry Gasperini reacted harshly after the match, blaming Lookman for taking the responsibility off the designated takers. This featured the relationship with the coach, and the club are now more amenable to the idea of selling him. However, it remains to be seen whether they will agree to sell him to their direct rivals.
