Arsenal, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, faced a daunting task in France. Despite the return of Thomas Partey to the starting lineup, which allowed Declan Rice to shift back to his preferred number eight role, the Gunners couldn’t overturn the deficit.

Arsenal started brightly, creating three chances in the first 15 minutes, but PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stood tall to keep his side in the game.

The second half saw PSG assert dominance, earning a penalty that they failed to convert.

Undeterred, the hosts doubled their lead, though Arsenal pulled one back through Bukayo Saka, who converted a cross from Leandro Trossard, sparking faint hopes of a comeback.
