Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has reflected on the club's underwhelming season ahead of the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.

Erling Haaland has labeled Manchester City's season as "catastrophic," pinpointing a lack of "hunger" as the main reason for their struggles.

The 24-year-old striker admitted his own performances haven’t been up to par either.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, he said: "You can find excuses in all of this - injuries, many injuries and at bad times - but in the end we haven't been performing well enough.

"We haven't had the hunger inside of us. I haven't been good enough, I haven't helped the team enough."

He added, "The club has set standards and the bar is so high which means this season is a catastrophic season - that says it all. Next season we need to find something inside our stomach again to attack the season."

Liverpool ended City’s streak of four consecutive Premier League titles, and early exits from the Champions League and Carabao Cup didn’t help.

Now, City’s focus is on securing a Champions League spot for next season and winning the FA Cup, where they face Crystal Palace in the final next Saturday.
