Whispers of a Brazil move swirl around the Real Madrid boss, leaving his club future hanging in the balance.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is scheduled for more talks regarding the possibility of him taking over as the Brazil coach before the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in June.
The 65-year-old Italian is expected to meet with representatives acting on behalf of the Brazilian Football Federation, following Real Madrid's Copa del Rey final defeat by Barcelona.
Ancelotti set for Brazil talks
As reported by BBC Sport, Brazilian businessman Diego Fernandes, who has been acting on behalf of the CBF, was present at the aforementioned final, suggesting the discussions are progressing.
)
The report states that Fernandes's latest visit to Europe includes a plan to persuade the experienced Italian manager to take the Brazil job as soon as the Spanish domestic season concludes.
Such a move would mean Ancelotti departing Real Madrid before this summer's Club World Cup in the United States.
The former AC Milan and Chelsea boss is the primary candidate to replace Dorival Junior, who was dismissed after the South American heavyweight’s defeat by Argentina last month.

Why Brazil want Ancelotti
Brazil are currently fourth in the South American World Cup qualification table, and while their qualification for the expanded 48-team tournament in 2026 is not considered to be in serious jeopardy, the CBF believes Ancelotti would significantly enhance Brazil's chances of winning the competition.
The Federation previously attempted to appoint the Italian for last summer's Copa America but were unsuccessful.
During his two spells at Real Madrid, Ancelotti has achieved considerable success, winning two La Liga titles and three Champions League titles.
)
However, his side are currently trailing La Liga leaders Barcelona and were eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal.
Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso has been mentioned as a potential candidate to succeed Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu.
What next for Real Madrid?
Real Madrid return to LaLiga action next Sunday against Celta Vigo, aiming to close the four-point deficit on Barcelona.
