Kaka reveals dream teammate

In a recent interview with SportBible, Kaka reflected on his career and the English players he admired most, naming Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, and particularly Wayne Rooney, whom he would have loved to play with.

“Well, in the period [I played], I had very good battles against Wayne Rooney, I think it would’ve been nice to play with him,” he said, singling out the former Manchester United and Everton star for his dynamic presence.

He also praised Ferdinand’s defensive strength, noting, “I would say Rio Ferdinand, always tough to play against him.”

Kaka reserved special admiration for Gerrard, recalling their clashes in the 2005 and 2007 Champions League finals. “And he’s a player that I admire, really love the way that he played, and he was very elegant on the field and very fair,” he added.

Kaka won the Ballon d'Or in 2007 after an incredible season leading Milan to UEFA Champions League glory.
