Brazil’s football team may be set to break tradition at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a rumoured first-ever red away kit featuring the Jordan brand logo, according to early leaks.

Brazil’s national team is reportedly preparing a bold shake-up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

If the rumours are true, then the Seleção are set to surprise the football world by donning a red away kit for the very first time in modern history.

According to Footy Headlines via A BOLA, Brazil could step away from their iconic blue secondary strip and embrace an entirely new colour scheme, featuring a red shirt designed in partnership with the Jordan brand.

While unconfirmed, the rumoured change would mark a significant departure from Brazil’s traditional aesthetics.

The iconic yellow and blue kits have become synonymous with Brazilian football identity, earning the squad the nickname Canarinhos (Little Canaries).

However, this wouldn’t be the team’s first foray into red.

Per CNN Brasil, the five-time World Cup winners wore red during the South American Championships in 1917 and 1936, a nod to history that may be inspiring the potential modern revival.

Another striking twist to this kit shake-up would be the replacement of Nike’s classic swoosh with the iconic Jumpman logo of NBA legend Michael Jordan.

If true, this collaboration would represent a historic crossover between football and basketball branding.

The 2026 World Cup hosted jointly by Canada, the United States, and Mexico, promises to be a groundbreaking tournament.

With 48 nations competing and a fresh group format, it will be the largest competition in FIFA history.

In this context, Brazil’s rumoured kit evolution could be seen as symbolic of a new footballing era.

While fans may be divided on the dramatic colour change, many agree it would be a headline-grabbing moment on and off the pitch.

However, as of the time of publication, no official announcement has been made.
