The Spanish defender named former Chelsea legend as his toughest opponent.
Chelsea legend Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed his toughest opponents during his illustrious career, with three former Blues teammates making the cut.
During his time at Chelsea, Azpilicueta established himself as a club legend, winning numerous titles, including the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup.

Away from Chelsea, the Spaniard won two French League Cup and one Super French Cup with Marseille.
He also won U-19, U-21 European Championship with Spanish youth teams.

Azpilicueta names toughest opponents
In an interview with ESPN, Azpilicueta, who spent over a decade at Chelsea, named Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba, and Diego Costa as his most challenging opponents.
Azpilicueta also praised Drogba, who he faced while playing for Chelsea against Galatasaray.

Drogba was instrumental for Chelsea, leading the Blues to their first ever champions League title in 2012.
The Ivorian won the CAF Player of the Year award two times in 2007 and 2008.

"One that comes out quickly is Eden Hazard because he was my teammate for a long time, but when I was in Marseille, we played against Lille, and I remember at half-time against him," Azpilicueta said.
He continued, "Didier Drogba, he was playing for Galatasaray when I was at Chelsea, and he was quite a tough striker.

The Spanish defender also mentioned Diego Costa, his former Chelsea teammate, as another formidable opponent.
"Diego Costa, I would say the third one, which you know, three that I played with them and against them, you know I could know how they were as a teammate and also as opponents, and they were great battles," Azpilicueta said.
Azpilicueta's praise for Hazard is not unique, as former Chelsea teammate David Luiz recently compared the Belgian to current star Cole Palmer.
