Mikel Arteta's side fought back from 3-1 down but could not complete the turnaround to share the spoils with the Saints

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) trolled Arsenal after a 3-3 draw in a Premier League clash against Southampton on Friday.

The Gunners were stunned just 27 seconds into the match when Carlos Alcaraza netted, before Theo Walcott scored the second for Southampton 14 minutes later.

Gabriel Martinelli – with his 15th goal of the season – halved the deficit in the 20th minute before Duje Caleta-Car restored the two-goal lead in the 65th minute in favour of the Saints.

Martinelli has now scored 15 goals in the Premier League this season, the joint-most in a single campaign by a Brazilian, along with Roberto Firmino of Liverpool in 2017-18.

Arsenal needed an answer and Martin Odegaard scored the second before Bukayo Saka salvaged a point for them after prodding home a loose ball.

After the draw, Kenya’s investigative agency trolled the North London side.

"Arsenal inawezapea mtu heart attack. [Arsenal can give one a heart attack,]," the DCI posted on their social media pages.

After the draw, Arsenal became the first side to avoid defeat in a Premier League match despite trailing by two-plus goals as late as the 88th minute since Newcastle United against Everton in January 2020.

Southampton, on the other hand, are the first team in league history to start the day bottom of the table and score 3+ goals against the team starting the day top.

The Gunners have kept three clean sheets from 16 home games in the league this season, and only Southampton have recorded fewer shut-outs at home this term (1).

Alcaraz is only the second player to both score and assist away to Arsenal in the Premier League this season, after Kevin De Bruyne.

Saka (24) and Martinelli (20) are only the second pair of teammates aged 21 and under to both record 20-plus goal involvements in a single Premier League campaign, after Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in 2006/07 for Manchester United.
