Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has backed Luka Modric’s action toward Vinicius Jr. during their win in the Copa Del Rey.

Ancelotti's side secured a narrow 3-2 win over CD Leganes in the Copa del Rey quarterfinal clash on Wednesday.

The game was marred by a pivotal moment that raised doubts about Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid team as they prepare for a historic week.

Fans witnessed Luka Modric making irate gestures at Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr., demonstrating his annoyance with the Brazilian.

After the game, as reported by the Daily Mail, Modric denied any suggestion of a protracted altercation between the two, stating, "It's football... You see everything you shouldn't see.”

In his news conference after the game, Ancelotti was questioned about the incident and stated, “Modric was angry with Vinicius? I don't know what happened, but if Modric said something, then it's correct. Always agree with Luka Modric.”
