Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed summer loan signing, Ansu Fati will be unavailable “for a long time” through injury.
Fati, on loan from Barcelona, could be out for up to two months after picking up an injury in Brighton's win over Nottingham Forest.
A disappointed De Zerbi gave the update at a press conference on Wednesday.
"Igor (Julio) can play. Ansu (Fati) and (Tariq) Lamptey are both injured,” De Zerbi said.
“We have lost them for a long time I think. But the focus is on the players available, we have to compete."
Fati made his Barcelona debut aged 16, but has suffered from various injury setbacks throughout his short career.
