The 27-year-old Barcelona midfielder and two-time Ballon d'Or winner missed Spain's 3-1 friendly victory over Japan on Friday, having been absent from training on Thursday.
That same day, she was admitted to a Madrid hospital as a precaution, where she was diagnosed with viral meningitis.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation announced that Bonmati is expected to rejoin the national team squad "in the coming days" before their departure for Switzerland on Sunday afternoon.

In a social media post, Bonmati thanked everyone for their messages of support, stating: "Fortunately, everything is going well. I hope to be back soon."
Before Bonmati's discharge, Spain's coach, Jorge Vilda, stated: "She is a very important player for us. We will wait for her as long as necessary."
