The Gunners possess an eight-point gap at the summit of the log.

Following their 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard has revealed they are in a prime position to end their 19-year wait for an English Premier League title.

The Gunners are enjoying an imperious season that saw them open up a healthy eight-point gap at the summit of the log heading into the international break albeit Manchester City having a game in hand.

Odegaard admitted they possess an advantage in the title race and credited the vociferous Arsenal fans who have played a vital role in their impressive results this season.

"We are in a good position, so we want to enjoy this, and the connection with the fans, within the team, everyone is so together now. So we just have to keep going the same way and keep pushing every day to get better and to stay where we are," Odegaard told talkSPORT.

Arsenal issued a swift response after crashing out of the UEFA Europa League last Thursday at the hands of Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon by claiming an emphatic victory over Fulham.

Odegaard will join 14 other Arsenal players who will be on duty with their respective national teams during the international break.

The other players include Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, Jorginho, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Emile Smith, Jakub Kiwior, Matt Turner, Karl Hein, Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney, Martin Odegaard, Granit Xhak, Leandro Trossard, Fabio Vieira.

The 24-year-old also added that he has harbored dreams of lifting the Premier League since his tender age but will not rest on his laurels with the team currently sitting top of the table.

"Yeah, you can always dream! It’s been my dream since I was a baby, so of course you can dream. But the main thing is to stay calm, to keep working hard and to keep pushing every day to make sure that we get better every day.

I think everyone enjoys it, we are where we want to be. We have to enjoy it,” added the former Real Madrid midfielder.
