From March 22 to 24, a total of 44 nations will compete in the qualifiers, with some hoping to regain ground in the race to qualify while others, hoping to extend their lead.

The month of March will see the qualifying series for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) make a return, after the last games held in September last year.

From March 22 through 24, a total of 44 nations will compete in the qualifiers, with some hoping to regain ground in the race to qualify while others, hoping to extend their lead.

For Nigeria's Super Eagles, who also happen to be three-time African champions, a tie against Guinea-Bissau will be the first competitive match since that record-breaking 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe.

Prior to the victory over Sao Tome, the Super Eagles secured a 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone in their Group A opening fixture.

Nigeria at the moment leads the group with six points and a goal difference of +11 after both victories, and are closely followed by Guinea-Bissau who have four points after two matches.

The other game in Group A on matchday 3 will see Sierra Leone square up against Sao Tome at the Agadir Stadium in Morocco.

Heading into the third round of qualifying matches, Nigeria's Victor Osimhen leads the scorers' charts. But what players are chasing the red-hot Super Eagles forward?
