The forward has always been linked with the Red Devils.

Amid Manchester United links, Antonio Conte believes Tottenham Hotspur are keen on keeping Harry Kane for the rest of his career.

The England captain has one year left on his current contract and should Spurs fail to convince him to extend his stay this year, the forward could speak with other clubs in the January transfer window.

"I think this is a question for the club. For sure, the club wants to involve Harry Kane for the rest of his career, in my opinion," Conte, who is expected to leave the London club at the end of the season, was quoted by Sky Sports.

"Because when you have this type of player, a world-class striker like him, you want him to stay here for the rest of his life.

"But then, you know football. Sometimes it's unpredictable, but it's not my task to make a decision. This is the decision for the club and for Harry."

Manchester United are long-term admirers of the Spurs’ all-time top scorer. Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag is understood to be interested in signing a forward, and his ideal scenario is to have new signings in place for the pre-season.

On Kane’s future, much is expected to determine where Spurs and United will finish at the end of the campaign. The manager who will succeed Conte is also expected to play a part in the forward’s future decisions.

Apart from Kane, the Red Devils have been linked with Victor Osimhen, Goncalo Ramos, Lautaro Martinez, Dusan Vlhaovic, and Mohammed Kudus.
