The Yellow and Reds have good news ahead of their Europa League clash against Real Sociedad.

Roma have been handed a big boost after the trio of Lorenzo Pellegrini, Andrea Belotti and Ola Solbakken all trained ahead of the clash.

The trio missed Roma’s clash against Sassuolo on Sunday, which affected Mourinho’s men as they lost 4-3 at home.

Pellegrini, Belotti and Solabakken hand Mourinho a massive boost

Pellgerini’s availability is a big one for Mourinho and Roma as his experience and quality is important in the squad.

The Italy international played the first leg against Sociedad last week but was not involved against Sassuolo after picking up a head injury in last week’s clash.

However, he returned to training on Wednesday, although he wore a large band-aid on his head. But despite his fitness issue, Pellegrini is expected to lead Roma out at Anoeta on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, Belotti could be involved too after travelling with the squad to Spain. The former Torino striker picked up a hand injury in the first leg, but he has recovered in time for the second leg clash.

Solbakken’s return is also a big boost for Mourinho as the Norwegian has not played for Roma since he scored against Hellas Verona last month.

Advantage Roma

Despite their injury issues, Roma are the favourites to progress to the quarter-final after winning the first leg 2-0.

Mourinho’s men know they need to just avoid defeat or not lose by more than one goal to book their spot in Friday’s quarter-final draw.

The Yellow and Reds have also been boosted by the return of their boss, who will take his place on the touchline.

Mourinho back for Roma’s clash against Real Sociedad

Mourinho had missed Roma’s defeat against Sassuolo due to two-match ban. But the Portuguese tactician will be on the bench on Thursday night as the ban only affects domestic games.
