AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been included in Sweden’s team for their upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers against Belgium and Azerbaijan.
Sweden call up for 41-year-old Ibrahimovic
Sweden are due to play Belgium on the 24th of March and Azerbaijan three days later in hopes of picking a ticket for the UEFA European Championships in 2024 and have named Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their 26-man squad for both matches.
Ibrahimovic makes a return to the National team after missing the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to injury.

Sweden will be hoping that the introduction of 41-year-old Ibrahimovic, the country’s record goal scorer, will add some experience to the side ahead of the crucial qualifiers.
Ibrahimovic makes Sweden squad despite injury struggles
Zlatan was called up despite playing only three matches in the 2022/23 season for Milan after spending nearly a year out injured.
Zlatan has made substitute appearances in each of Milan’s last three Serie A matches as he works his way back to full fitness, and Sweden hope he can give them something extra despite not being fully fit.
Given Ibrahimovic’s recent injury history and his limited game time, it is unlikely that he will start for Sweden in both matches, especially taking into account Alexander Isak’s recent form as well.
