We have picked a team of 11 players that best fit into a 4-4-2 diamond (narrow) formation for our LaLiga team of the week.

LaLiga round 25 has ended, and as is the norm, it was an exhibition of individual brilliance that drove interesting results for different teams.

The players at the forefront of the entertaining gameweek have been cut down to 11 that best fit into a 4-4-2 diamond (narrow) formation for the Pulse Sports LaLiga team of the week. 

Goalkeeper: Sergio Asenjo Elche v Real Valladolid

After Elche's 4-2 defeat to Real Betis, Verdiblancos striker Borja Iglesias said that Elche, who are bottom of the table, have been unlucky as their performance have been better than their results.

It was a similar case for Elche against Valladolid, and luck was not the thing that prevented them from getting maximum points this time; it was Sergio Asenjo.

Elche created six big chances, and Valladolid received two late red cards, but the Pucelanos managed to earn a point thanks to Asenjo's heroics. 

The 33-year-old made a stunning nine saves, seven of which were from shots in the box. His delivery was also tip-top on the day, as he completed 10 long passes.  

Right-back: Juan Foyth (Villarreal) v Real Betis 

Juan Foyth was his usual solid self on the right side of Villarreal's defence in their 1-1 draw against Real Betis.

Foyth restricted Betis' danger on the left side of their attack, winning 100% of his ground and aerial duels.  

He won three tackles and was also involved in the offence for Villarreal, creating a scoring chance.

Centre-back: Eder Militao (Real Madrid) v Espanyol

Militao continued to make his claim for best centre-back in LaLiga in Real Madrid's 3-1 win over Espanyol.

The 25-year-old centre-back gave Madrid the lead in the 39th minute of the game after Vinicius pulled Madrid level to cancel out the lead Joselu gave Espanyol.

Militao made six clearances in the game and maintained an 89% passing success rate.  

Centre-back: Andreas Christensen Athletic Club v (Barcelona)

Christensen was tidy at the back for Barcelona as they kept a clean sheet in a difficult away game against Athletic Club.

He won 100% of his aerial duels, made six clearances, completed five long balls, and maintained a 93% pass completion rate.  

Left-back Javi Galan (Celta Vigo) v Rayo Vallecano 

Javi Galan is one of the best full-backs in LaLiga, and he was at his best in Celta's 3-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Galan assisted one of Celta's three goals and created three chances.  

Galan won 11 ground duels and won two tackles along with three clearances.

Defensive midfielder: Aurelien Tchouameni (Real Madrid) v Espanyol

Tchouameni was unplayable in Real Madrid's 2-1 victory over Espanyol. 

He maintained a 95% passing completion rate in his 74 minutes on the pitch and completed 100% of his long balls and crosses.  

He also made three tackles, one clearance, and a blocked shot.

Centre midfielder: Ivan Rakitic (Sevilla) v Rayo Vallecano

Rakitic rolled back the years in Sevilla's 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano.

He created three big chances, one of which was a big chance. He completed nine of 11 long balls and completed 100% of his aerial balls.

Centre midfielder: Ramon Terrats (Villarreal) v Real Betis

22-year-old Ramon Terrats is one of the players to watch in LaLiga this season, and he was brilliant in Villarreal's draw against Betis.

Terrats completed 33 of 38 attempted passes; one of the passes created a big chance for Yeremy Pino's equaliser in the game when he played a chipped pass over Betis' defence.

He completed five dribbles in the game and completed 100% of his attempted long passes. He also won eight of twelve contested ground duels and 100% of his long passes.

Attacking midfielder: Gabri Veiga (Celta Vigo) v Rayo Vallecano

Veiga returns to the team of the week after an impressive February in which he won player of the month.

Veiga created three chances, one of which was a big chance. He completed 100% of his long balls and dribble attempts.  

Centre-forward: Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo) v Rayo Vallecano

The Celta Vigo talisman continued his brilliant form this season with their win against Rayo.

Aspas scored twice and created two chances in 87 minutes on the pitch. 

Centre-forward Enes Unal Cadiz v (Getafe)

Enes Unal's two goals against Getafe were penalties, but they had to be scored, and he won one of the penalties.  

He had five shots on target on the day and was a constant headache for Cadiz's backline.
