Pep Guardiola has refused to comment on the handball incident against his Manchester City side during their Champions League first leg draw against RB Leipzig.
Manchester City, for the second time in a few days, threw away a 1-0 lead after being utterly dominant. Guardiola’s men went ahead before half-time at the Red Bull Arena thanks to an emphatic finish from Riyad Mahrez.

Croatian defender, Josko Gvardiol levelled the scoreline midway through the second half with a fine header, but the final moments of the match were riddled with controversy as Leipzig full-back Benjamin Henrichs appeared to push the ball away with his hands in injury time.

Speaking after the match, Guardiola refused to dwell on the incident.

“Like I said about the goal from Gvardiol, and the penalty in the last one, I didn’t see it.
“I didn’t see it so I cannot talk but I know what happens in these situations.”
Guardiola did not make any substitutions throughout the duration of the game even though the players appeared to have run out of gas as full-time approached.
Despite the draw, he was happy with the overall performance from his side on the night, despite failing to pick up a victory.
“I am happy for the whole game, not just the first half,” he added. “What do you expect? That we play a friendly game here? How many games have you seen from Leipzig? You expect us to come here and win 0-5? That is not a reality.
“We are a good team and we do many, many good things. We continued to do this. People expect us to come here and win 0-4, I am sorry we are not able to do this.”
Frustrating night for Pep
Guardiola will no doubt be concerned by his team’s lack of clinical finishing in the opposition box in recent games.

City continue to create chances but fail to score and it is something he must rectify as the season reaches its crucial points.
Man City’s next fixture is against Bournemouth this Saturday in the Premier League.
